Acne and Smoking

There is not much information about a correlation between smoking and acne, although many smokers agree that their skin has cleared up when they quit. There are three smokers between 229 women who are suffered from acne and about 7 smokers between 185 who are not suffered from acne. The smoking and duration was not different from the two groups.

Although smoking doesn't cause acne, the skin of a smoker is less healthy and looks older - this is because the nicotine in tobacco smoke reduces the blood circulation to your skin and the amount of oxygen your skin gets. There is a contradictory report between smoking and acne.
