Newborn Acne - Symptoms, Treatment of Newborn Acne

Newborn acne or neonatal acne comes and goes during the first weeks or months of life. Newborn acne is usually quite mild. This type of acne is a common condition that affects roughly 20 percent of newborn babies. Newborn acne appears on the cheeks, forehead, chin and face of the newborn babies. Acne in the newborn is not usually a serious condition. Infantile acne, like newborn acne or baby acne, often resolves itself during the first year or so of life.

Some parents are dismayed when their newborn's perfect face suddenly breaks out in tiny red bumps, which is called baby acne. Newborn or baby acne is different from but often confused with two other condition called "milia" and infantile acne.

NewBorn or Baby Acne Treatment Remedy

Topical creams like Keratolytic or retinoids agents or benzoyl peroxide is suggested for severe form of newborn acne. It is not necessary that any form of acne will be affected to newborn babies after the time of delivery.
