Is it just like acne but on you genitals? Is it an infection. What do I have and how can i get rid of it? (Michel, 18 yrs, Uk) Solution- There is actually no such thing as "genital acne", it's actually something called hidradenitis suppurativa. It is essentially the same thing as it is caused by a blockage of sweat glands around the genitals that can cause infections. The infection comes out in small pimple like lesions that look a lot like acne. Using an antibacterial soap or cleanser in the area could help clear up the problem.
